Why is Teachers' Day celebrated in India? 
 In India, Teachers' Day is celebrated on September 5th, the birthday of  Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, a great teacher and the second President of India. 
Dr. Radhakrishnan believed that teachers should be honored and respected. 
He suggested that instead of celebrating his birthday, people should celebrate Teachers' Day to honor teachers across the country. 
Why is World Teachers' Day celebrated? 
 World Teachers' Day is a day to celebrate teachers' contributions to education. It is also a day to reflect on the support teachers need to fulfill their roles.
