WORLD BOOK AND COPYRIGHT DAY

Books are like a window onto another world – with each new page, they introduce us to new people, new cultures and new ideas. Every year, on 23 April, UNESCO celebrates World Book and Copyright Day to recognize the power of books as a bridge between generations and across cultures.

INTERNATIONAL CHILDREN'S BOOK DAY

Since 1967, on or around Hans Christian Andersen's birthday, 2 April, International Children's Book Day (ICBD) is celebrated to inspire a love of reading and to call attention to children's books.

SAFER INTERNET DAY

Safer Internet Day is celebrated globally on the second Tuesday of February to raise awareness and promote safe & responsible use of the internet, especially for children and young people.  
Each year Safer Internet Day also aims to raise awareness about emerging online issues and current concerns. 
This year, the Safer Internet Day is going to be celebrated on 11th February 2025 under the theme of "Together for a Better Internet"

IN MEMORY OF KALPANA CHAWLA

In memory of Kalpana Chawla, the first Indian-born woman in space, who tragically lost her life in the Space Shuttle Columbia disaster on February 1, 2003, her legacy continues to inspire generations in aerospace and beyond,

NATIONAL YOUTH DAY JANUARY 12TH

National Youth Day, also known as Vivekananda Jayanti or Rashtriya Yuva Diwas, is celebrated in India on January 12th to commemorate the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda, a philosopher, and spiritual leader, and to inspire and empower the youth of the country.

PARAKRAM DIWAS

Parakram Diwas, or the "Day of Valour," is celebrated annually on January 23rd in India to honor the birth anniversary of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose, a prominent Indian freedom fighter, and to commemorate his relentless pursuit of India's independence.

HAPPY REPUBLIC DAY

The Constitution of India came into force on 26 January 1950. Parades, speeches and cultural events etc. The constitution replaced the Government of India Act 1935 as the governing document of India, thus turning the nation from a dominion into a republic, following its independence from the British Raj in 1947.

ARMY DAY 15TH JAUNUARY

Every year on January 15, Army Day is celebrated to honour the day in 1949 when Field Marshal K M Cariappa became the first Indian Commander-in-Chief of the Indian Army, succeeding General Francis Roy Bucher, the last British Commander-in-Chief.
